We continue to the Tihany located on the opposite side (west side of balaton) of the first day. Most guide book hasn’t much information about this town, the best known symbol of the town is the twin-towered the Benedictine Abbey built by King Andrew Ⅰ,who was buried in the crypt in 1055,and the church was rebuilt in baroque style in 1754…etc… 」 So I thought it’s enough to take just 1 picture in there, but I was able to encounter a charming landscape,it looks like the city of the Cotswolds in the UK …. In Croatia there are places where the straw-roofed old houses remain, but it is not the whole of the city.Hermitage north of town were carved out of the living rock of the hill in the 11-14th century by Greek orthodox hermits. Also Tihany is famous for large fields of lavender which are alive with bloom in the season. I can recommend It will be nice to visit here in spring time, but as a person living in Croatia, “Do not forget the lavender of Hvar island in Croatia!”

Anyway, after this town,we went to the hotel in Heviz which is famous for hot spring lake. I wanted to enter this hot spring lake (I love hot spring!) ,but just before this trip the snow fell down in whole Europe area and it was cold even though water temperature is around 26 degrees Celsius…so I keep it for next time, just went to take only the photos. On the way I saw many souvenir shops decorated with floating rings, because this spring lake have a depth and a float ring is necessary. ..At this time we enjoyed enough at the hotel’s pool and sauna.

View of the hot spring lake…

Next day to the city of Keszthely nearby, the palace built in the 18th century was also quite great. After taking a stroll around the town, we came back to Zagreb.

The castel in Keszthely, you can visit inside
